Installation notes for Tangless threaded inserts 

Tangless threaded inserts are a new kind of inserts which was developed based on ordinary inserts. When remove” tang”, the last lap thread of ordinary insert can been easily pull-out while  KATO Tangless threaded inserts no “tang” and no need remove it , improve work efficiency, avoid the problems caused by removing “tang”. The size of notch of traditional insert can't control precision, lead to easy broken, or it is hard to break,When remove tang, the end of tang will protuberant, affect thread screw into and serious influence the quality of insert. The tail is not easy to clean up after removal, cause the stranded,sometimes seriously affect the the quality of the workpiece.

Application notes for Tangless threaded inserts:

1 Before installation, ensure the base hole size and tapping size are standard , not allow to residue detritus in base hole when produced in the process of drilling and tapping. 

2 After tapping a certain number of times,the special tap need to be replaced, in order to keep the bottom hole thread standard.

3 when installed with setting tools for installation work, pay attention that no exert efforts in the upright direction, but exert efforts according to the coil of thread screwing direction.Remember that if the installation at a bad situation, do not press in straight direction, the action is associated thread jump buckle and a screw installation tool hook damage phenomenon.

4 In installation process, do not reverse rotation installation tools. If the insert need be removed out, please purchase special tools to operate.
