Gorton's Real Solutions Review & Giveaway Ends 4/15

For those of you that have been reading my blog, you all know that I am all about simplicity. The simpler the better, especially when it comes to cooking. However, in the scheme of things, sometimes simpler is not better in terms of healthy food.  I have found a wonderful solution to those meal time blues and it is a healthy option. We love fish in our house, but with children, they do not like plain old broiled fish. They like some crunch to it. I was given an opportunity to review Gorton's all new Artisan Fillets, sounds tasty doesn't it? They are! Gorton's recently introduced their solution to meal time dilemmas with the  ALL NEW Artisan fillets in flavors that feature Roasted Garlic & Italian Herb, Lemon & Cracked Peppercorn, Southwest Tortilla and Southern Style. These delicious fillets are all made with wild-caught Alaska Pollock, plus real bold ingredients like chilies, peppercorns, and crushed tortilla chips for an extra pop of flavor that makes a family-pleasing dinner time solution.

Our first try at these new "solutions" were the Lemon & Cracked Peppercorn.  It only takes about 15 minutes for the fillets to cook , so a really quick and healthy meal  was on its way to the table. To accompany our Lemon & Cracked Peppercorn fish, I served baked potatoes and steamed broccoli.  


And the meal.......



The fish was very tasty and moist not dry like fish sometimes get. It was full of flavor and I could actually taste the lemon and cracked pepper in the seasoning. It was delicious and best of all my family loved it.  This is definitely one of my new go to favorites for quick and healthy.

  16. Our quick and healthy meals typically consist of some kind of meat, vegetable, and carb. So we will have chicken, green beans, and mac and cheese, or steak, corn on the cob, and Stuffing. I could add fish though! That would be great, fish, lima beans, and rice!

  74. My favorite quick meal would be minute rice with veggies from our garden added in. I just throw in whatever we have at the time.

  75. My favorite quick and healthy meal is not quick at all, but with me always working or having class its quick because it's a delicious and healthy crock pot meal!

    1/2 lb raw chicken breast tenderloins
    1/2 jar salsa
    1/3 packet taco seasoning
    1/2 can black beans

    ^ those measurements are for my boyfriend and i, but would be doubled for a family.

    Throw those ingredients in the crock pot for about 4-6 hours on low and when you come home the chicken can be shredded so easily with a fork! We put this mixture in leaves of lettuce to make lettuce wraps but you can also make soft or hard tacos, put on a salad, even put on a hotdog/hamburger bun!
