I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day and got everything you dreamed of. Now that Valentine's Day has passed, it doe not have to be a special occasion for a special meal. eMeals has plenty of really great meal choices when you join their meal planning service. I wanted to share this special Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Garlic Oil recipe that can be found on eMeals with a subscription to their meal planning service.
18 slices of bacon, halved
36 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon water
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons sliced garlic
Cook bacon in a pan until it is cooked but still soft and pliable.
Combine honey and water in a large bowl. Add shrimp, and toss to coat. Sprinkle with pepper.
Wrap one piece of bacon around each shrimp. Divide shrimp evenly among 6 skewers.
Preheat broiler. Place skewers on a baking sheet; broil 3 minutes per side or until done.
Combine oil and garlic in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook 4 minutes, or until garlic begins to brown. Drizzle over cooked shrimp, and serve additional oil alongside shrimp for dipping.
The two sides that are featured with the bacon wrapped shrimp is Roasted Butternut Squash with Cider Vinegar and Sautéed Rapini with Walnuts. I will be posting those recipes in the next couple of days for you so that you can create that special meal.
eMeals makes it so simple with their weekly menu plans. I receive a weekly menu plan and grocery list via email. The grocery list is organized by section and coordinated
with the weekly sales at selected stores. I can print both off and have my grocery list already done and menu right at my fingertips for the week. There is no struggling and wondering what is going to be for dinner that night. If you would like a chance to try eMeals, I am giving away a 3 month subscription. So head on over to enter.
