As the title to this post says, surviving holiday parties can reek havoc on your weight loss plans. I attended a company Christmas Party last weekend and there were all sorts of goodies there. Most of what was there were finger foods and appetizers. I do have to admit that I sampled most everything that was there. The holidays are a trying time for me with all activities going on, the goodies that are around the house, and making goodies for my children makes it even harder to stay on track. And did I mention that we went our town parade on Saturday and then went out to lunch at one of my favorite little sandwich shoppes. Of course, being that I sampled and tasted at the party and had lunch out on Saturday afternoon, I was quite anxious about weighing in on Monday morning. On Sunday, I got back on track and started back to my routine. I knew that if I did not, I would sink back into my old eating habits, not a good place to be.
With that being said, my weigh in went ok. Not a huge loss but a tiny .2, which I guess all things considering that is not bad and I am thankful that I did not gain. Here are my results so far:

Total Weight Loss: 13 pounds
I always like to share one of my favorite dishes from the week and this past week I have found another meal that I am quite fond of. I have been eating quite a bit of soups lately and have been enjoying the Italian Wedding Soup. It is really, really good and there is nothing like a really good cup of soup on a winter's day.
