D-Link Movie Nite Plus #Review Streaming Media Player

I have seen many streaming media players popping up lately and have been very curious about them and their content. I also wondered if it would be worth downgrading my satellite package if we had one of these media players.  Recently D-Link has given me the opportunity to review the MovieNite Plus.  If you are like me and wonder what all the hype is about a streaming media player, then watch this video about D-Link.

Within minutes of unpacking the box that the MovieNite Plus arrived in, we were set up and ready to watch movies, shows and listen to music.

Transform your living room into the ultimate home theater, as MovieNite Plus delivers the latest content from Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, Pandora and more. Avoid the hassle of expensive tickets and late fees – experience the freedom of unlimited entertainment from the comfort of your couch with MovieNite Plus. From the D-Link website.

I began browsing through the MovieNite Plus to see the apps that were included.  There are more than 130 apps included with the MovieNite Plus. I was surprised at how many apps there were and what types of shows and movies that can be accessed from the MovieNite Plus.  It was easy to move through the app screens and find different apps.  NetFlix is one of the apps that is included on the MovieNite Plus and has tons and tons of movies and television series. NetFlix is offered for $7.99 a month.  As a matter of fact, I have found myself glued to a television series that ran four seasons and I haven't been able to stop watching. I love the fact that there are no commercials and when I am done with one episode, the MovieNite Plus will bring the screen up with the remaining episodes for that season and on to the next one.  Another great app on the MoveNite Plus is VUDU. VUDU offers current movies the day they are released on DVD.  There are no subscription fees with VUDU, you pay for only what you want to watch.

The MovieNite Plus also comes with My dLink enabled. The My dLink app allows you to monitor your cameras live on your TV.  This works great as a baby monitor or  if you just want to see why the kids are so quite. You can put your cameras anywhere as long as they are a part of your My dLink account.  Signing up for a My dLink account takes only a few minutes and is super easy.

We are really enjoying our D-Link MovieNite Plus. There are movies and shows for everyone in our house.  My children are really enjoying watching some different movies other than what they have on DVD and the same one that are played regularly on satellite.  Thanks to D-Link for allowing me to review the MovieNite Plus.  I am sure that we will get many hours of enjoyment from it.  And I am happy to report that I have dropped my satellite plan down to the lowest plan that is offered, which is saving us some bucks.  Super huge thanks to D-Link!

MovieNite Plus retails for $69.95 on Amazon. Well worth the money!  You can connect with D-Link on Facebook and on Twitter.

  1. That is such a cool idea to watch a movie. Thanks for telling me about it!

  2. THis is neat. We don't have cable and the price seems good!

  3. Very cool! We use Roku and love it, never heard of D-link, thanks!

  4. i've never heard of this before, what a cool gadget. currently we have an old PC desktop computer hooked up to our TV (the monitor died, so Our TV became the new monitor) so we watch all our movies and stuff from the internet through our computer, but who knows how much longer this computer will last, it's already a good 7 years old. The D-link may be just the backup we're looking for. :)

  5. I didn't know about this ... will try to convince hubs to get one!

  6. I've never heard of them either! But I might get one for the hubs for Christmas (or his birthday which is 10 days prior to)...!!

  7. So cool! I've never heard of it. Yes, Christmas!

Please leave a comment and keep it clean. Thanks!
