Matilda Jane Serendipity Collection Review

I am always looking for unique boutique style clothing for my daughter and quite frankly have a difficult time finding that style of clothing in the area that I live in.  I had seen and heard of Matilda Jane Clothing (MJC) before from some of my blogger friends.  They raved about Matilda Jane and the unique style that Matilda Jane offers. I was extremely excited when Matilda Jane told me that they would be send me an outfit for a review.  First, before we move on, I would like to introduce you to the woman behind Matilda Jane.

"Denise DeMarchis is founder and CEO of Matilda Jane Clothing (MJC), a kitchen table startup that quickly grew into a national children’s clothing business. Since the age of 12, Denise has held a passion for art and design and spent a decade showcasing her painted furniture and clothing line at regional art fairs before launching MJC with its core values of heart, loyalty and extreme generosity. Denise was recently named one of Fort Wayne, Indiana’s Top 40 Under 40."

When we received the outfit, it was beautifully packaged in pretty pink tissue paper swaddled in pink tulle bags.  I knew by the packaging that we were going to love Matilda Jane.  Matilda Jane's stylist picked out the perfect outfit for my daughter.  It was uncanny that she didn't even know my daughter but yet the outfit was perfect.  We were sent the Tween Confetti Dress and the Salt and Pepper leggings.

The description of the Tween Confetti Dress says:

"You can take the girl out of the party, but you can't take the party out of the girl! And with the Confetti Dress you'll never have to. With its fun floral print, bold drop waist skirt and the contrasting striped knit insert in the back this dress will make your girl fee like it's her birthday everyday!"

The Tween Confetti Dress is full of personality and says fun.  I love that Matilda Jane mixes the colors and fabrics and makes them so very different from any piece of clothing I have ever purchased for my daughter.

There aren't enough words to describe Matilda Jane clothing.  It is intricately made and full of life.  The only wish I have is that my daughter could have a closet full of Matilda Jane clothing.  And if it's not enough that Matilda Jane creates clothing with love, they give back, too. "A key guiding principle at MJC is the company’s strong focus on “extreme generosity” and random acts of kindness. As an extension of MJC’s desire to give back the company also actively involves its customers in ongoing charitable giving efforts – most recently, Matilda Jane Clothing asked customers where to donate in its “Spread the Love” initiative. The annual campaign involved surprise giveaways to 100+ deserving families, as well as smaller giveaways to 300 individuals, a $50,000 expression of MJC’s heartfelt thanks to its loyal customer base. Despite MJC’s strong online presence – more than 40,000 Facebook fans, a thriving blog, and a website that attracts more than 70,000 unique visitors monthly, the company has bucked the trend and chosen not to have an e-commerce store. MJC sales are made directly though a Trunk Keeper, a representative who gets to know her customers personally. The exclusive sale of clothing by Trunk Keepers is a wonderful direct selling model through which Denise is able to pay forward business opportunities for entrepreneurial women driven by creativity and relationship building."  Now, that in my book, will make a business thrive.

Thank you so much Matilda Jane for allowing us to review this outfit!  Be sure to check out Matilda Jane on Facebook and Twitter
