As I write this, I realize that this has nothing to do with losing weight or being healthy, although I do consider being thoughtful and respectful of other's feelings part of my overall well being. It is unfortunate that we live in a day and age that the word kindness has simply left our vocabularies. I remain amazed each and every day as I go through life, just how ungrateful and thoughtless people really are. I was out over the weekend at a festival in a nearby town and was able to see that those exact words exist even now more than they ever did.
I am very fortunate to have been brought to this wonderful group of Sista's where I am exposed to women who are thoughtful, kind, and really care about one another's feelings. I kind of slipped away from Mamavation last week, with the exception of doing the 2 Week Challenge, because I have been dealing with my on going health issues. Finally, after three long months, I have a resolution. The resolution is not one where I am completely healed but it is a resolution that I can live with. Thank you to those people last week that tweeted me from the Mamavation community to check in with me to see if I needed anything. That made me feel so good that someone did notice that I was not "present" within the community and they were mindful of that. That is exactly how people should be treated with compassion and kindness. That is why I am here and I love being a part of the Mamavation community.
SCALE VICTORY: On another note, since being part of the Mamavation community, I have lost 12 pounds. I am really excited about that and being able to share.
Goals for this week: Keep drinking the water, exercising, and eating healthy.
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Be kind to one another.
