Mamavation Monday

I am really at loss this week as to what to write about.  This past week has been kind of a blah for me because I having been taking medication that has made me feel sluggish, nauseous, jittery, my joints are sore and stiff, and those are just to name of few things that I have experienced this past week because of this medication.  I have about six more days on this particular medication before I head back off to the doctor's office to evaluate what the next step might be.

I suppose that the good news this past week is that I actually have lost weight.  I know that the weight loss is partly because of the medication and the fact that I do not have an appetite and have practically been making myself eat simply because I know it is necessary to digest this medication and keep me from getting sick while on it.

I have been able to get a couple of 30 minute walks in and do some burpees along the way.  Thanks to Lolo for tweeting about about the 50 we did on Saturday.  It was very difficult to be able pull them off but I did it.  I also have had to up my intake of water because of the medication and have been able to get in 100 + oz. of water everyday.

I am excited about Mamavation TV this week to learn more about what can be done to help children loose weight and help them eat healthy. I am very lucky that my children do not have a weight problem and it is always great to get good information that I can pass along to other family members or friends who might need it.  My son is a very picky eater so it will be great to hear any tips that Joy Feldman may have to help my son eat healthier.  I know that childhood obesity is an ongoing growing epidemic in our country and anything that I can learn to further my knowledge on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Huge welcome to our new Mamavation Sistas Shawn Ann (@ShawnAnn), Amy (@spotonwellness), and Pepper (@unicornbeauty).  I know that you will love being a part of this group as much as I do. It is a support system circle that will be there for you, non-judgmental, no matter what you are facing.  Lean on them whenever you need to, because they WILL be there for you, unconditionally.

SCALE VICTORY:  I lost 8 pounds this week!  I am happy about the weight loss, not so happy about how I have come about to loose it.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week ahead!

This post is sponsored by Joy Feldman and hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway.
