Having comfortable workout clothing makes any workout more enjoyable. And comfortable is at the top of my list. I was recently given the opportunity to review a yoga tank from a company named Hyde Yoga. A little introduction about Hyde, from their founder, Anne-Kerr Kennedy.
"a running injury brought me to my first yoga class ten years ago.
i didn’t think much of it, other than as a form of exercise. but, as i incorporated yoga into my routine -in an attempt to relieve a stressed out illiotibial band – i began to recognize that it was relieving more than my physical body. so, i began to explore other types of yoga. after yoga class i felt a sense of “all-rightness,” no matter what was going on in my outside life. being on the mat made me pause; caused me to be acutely conscious. the experience of just being – engaging fully in what i was doing, became something i wished to extend to other areas of my life.
so i quit my corporate job, i went to art school, i went to work with a small rug design company.
i loved being creative, i loved being involved in a small business, i loved yoga.
and as my practice progressed, i felt it was time to bring all of these passions together.
“necessity is the mother of invention:” hyde was born out of the need for natural, comfortable, yoga clothes that were stylish, fit well but still affordable. like many of my yogi friends, i wanted clothes that were as considered and thoughtful as my practice. i saw an opportunity to make graceful gear my business."
For my review, I was sent the Vira Tank in Fig. The Vira Tank is 92% organic cotton and 8% spandex. The organic cotton makes this tank super soft and it moves with your body when you are working out. I love the fact that this tank has a built in bra that stays in place, no riding up or movement. The back is racer back style which I am thrilled about for ease of movement of my arms. One other excellent point about this tank is the length. The length comes well over my hips so during my workout I was not tugging on it to pull it down so my stomach wasn't showing.
Hyde Yoga also has many other styles of tanks, they also sell pants and outerwear. You can also connect with Hyde Yoga on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates. Thanks so much to Hyde Yoga for allowing me the opportunity to review the Vira Tank.
